The RHH, the RHWW, the RWO and the VRT have operated in a joint deployment.
At the request of "Reddingshondenwerkgroep Westervoort", members of the RHH assisted in a large scale search for a 62 year old woman. SAR dog organizations RHH, RHWW, RWO and VRT where involved, altogether 24 dogs and 42 people, in this deployment.
The search took place in the surroundings of Waardenburg, The Netherlands. The facilities of a local motor club served as the command centre where all teams where briefed. The communication at distance was done by radio. The GPS was used to map all searched areas.
The area to be searched was covered by foliage trees, orchards and prairies with lots of ditches filled with water and ice. Thanks to the property owners, all terrains where accessible to our teams. Despite all efforts, the desired result was not achieved.
We had preferred the result otherwise and we wish the family the strength they will need.
